My research interests are focused in the effects of gravity on the behavior of two-phase flows. The main topics of my studies are included in the following general subjects: fluid mechanics, two-phase flows, free surface flows and microgravity science among others.
You might be interested in any of the studies I am involved in:
Opposed-jet instabilities: numerical simulations of two types of instabilities found in single-phase counterflowing jets.
Bubble bouncing: the dynamics of the rising, bouncing and coalescence processes of an air bubble impacting with a free surface.
Bubbly jets: a study on bubbly jets under normal gravity and in microgravity conditions.
Bubble paths: the effects of the gravity level on the transition from a straight to zig-zag or helical path of an air bubble rising in a quiescent liquid.
Liquid jet in 0g: a study on the breakup of a Rayleigh-type liquid jet, forming small droplets in a microgravity environment.
